      Mr Nicolas Iordan is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He brings extensive experience in the assessment and management of a broad spectrum of urological conditions across both acute and elective practice. He delivers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care,

      His practice encompasses diagnostic urology, endourology, and minimally invasive surgery. He maintains a strong commitment to medical education, mentorship, service development, and quality improvement, with a focus on enhancing patient outcomes, optimising clinical pathways, and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.

    • Diagnostic urology and flexible cystoscopy (diagnostic and surveillance)
    • Endourology and endoscopic management of urinary tract stone disease (rigid and flexible ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy)
    • Minimally invasive treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia (including UroLift and Rezūm therapy)
    • Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) and bladder tumours (TURBT)
    • Penile and scrotal procedures
    • Intravesical botulinum toxin injections for overactive bladder

    • Specialist interests: urinary tract stone disease, benign prostatic enlargement, functional bladder disorders, and prostate cancer diagnostics

    Professional and Educational Roles


    Mr Iordan is a GMC-approved Clinical Educator and Clinical Supervisor. He currently supervises urology specialty trainees and supports their clinical, professional, and educational development.

    He has extensive experience in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, delivering formal and informal teaching to medical students, foundation doctors, specialty trainees, nurses, and advanced clinical practitioners.

    • Designated Prescribing Practitioner (DPP) for Advanced Nurse Practitioner students at Edge Hill University
    • Contribution to the Foundation Teaching Programme
